Montana State University's landscaping and grounds management has, for six consecutive years (as of 2018), adhered to Tree Campus USA commitments to uphold effective campus forest management and engagement of staff and students in conservation goals. This certification is applicable to the MSU-Bozeman campus.
In 2018, MSU was recognized as the first Bee Campus USA in the state of Montana.
