Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery

Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) is a coalition of leading colleges, cégeps, institutes and polytechnics from across Canada.
Mohawk college has an integral role in the facilitation and coordination of this body. Paul Armstrong, Chief Operating Officer of Mohawk College is one of three Steering Group Co-Chairs. Adrienne Madden, from The Centre for Climate Change Management (CCCM) at Mohawk College acts as the coordinator secretariaat.
The Goal:
By working together, colleges can help lead the transition to a clean economy. With a vision to build back better from the COVID-19 crisis, colleges are positioned to quickly develop thousands of training and research opportunities to help Canadians access good jobs, support the transition to the low carbon economy, and foster inclusion, diversity, and equity.
The coalition is working together to support the rapid development and deployment of new curriculum and research initiatives to support resilience in our towns and cities across Canada.
A truly resilient recovery is inclusive and equitable. Central to the coalition’s focus is creating inclusive opportunities, supporting equity and continuing to support truth and reconciliation with First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
CICan and C2R2 have formed a special affiliation with a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and resilient recovery. Through shared membership and collaboration, CICan and C2R2 can jointly promote and position the sector as key players in Canada’s resilient economic recovery that will benefit all. "
