"Mohawk College has published an internal policy “Administration of Research Grants and Contract Policy” .

Within the General Principals section, the College explicitly requires research activities to “comply with the requirements of the Funder or Funding Agency (refer to ‘Specific Links’).

Within the Specific Links section, Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research is referenced as a binding component to research and research ethics. The Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on Publications requires any projects funded by The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) (""the Agencies"") published within journals that allow immediate open-access within 12 months of publication.
