Centre for Climate Change Management

The Centre for Climate Change Management (CCCM) at Mohawk College is a collaboration between Mohawk College, the cities of Hamilton and Burlington, and Sustainable Hamilton Burlington with funding from the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Together, we drive real, measurable action on climate chnage in our businesses and communities while providing opportunities for students to live, learn and lear in a strong, sustainable future. The CCCM is spearhading four innovative programs aimed at reducing GHG emissions and creating healthy, resilient communities in the Bay Area:
The Bay Area Climate Change Office works closely with residents and community leaders to progressively tackle climate change and better prepare our communities for a stronger, cleaner future.
Industry Partnerships Initiative helps local businesses embark on real sustainable change with expert industry support, measurement tools and resources plus the assistance of students to work on their GHG reduction challenges.
Campus Carbon Management Initiative collaborates with Ontario colleges and other organizations to establish and share best practices and build a toolkit to help community colleges reduce greenhouse gas emissions
Mohawk Campus Sustainability engages staff, students and faculty in a growing culture of sustainability. Widely recognized as a leader in sustainability, Mohawk aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2020.
