Sustainability is one of Mohawk College's three strategic priorities: Quality, Innovation and Sustainability. The importance of sustainability at Mohawk is presented to all new employees during orientation in the Staff Orientation Handbook. During new staff orientation, each new employee learns of Mohawk's Strategic Plan, including the strategic priority of sustainability.
During the annual President's Breakfast (where all employees attend to celebrate the successes of the previous year and upcoming school year) the VP of Corporate Services does an overview of of corporate sustainability.
