The Social Inclusion Committee was created by the Vice-President Student Services to steer and coordinate social inclusion initiatives, to establish a framework that addresses the diverse needs of Mohawk students and staff and to provide inclusivity education to the broader College community. Membership, which will expand, currently includes representatives of relevant stakeholders and service providers from across the college.

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Social Inc. provides positive space training for all those interested at Mohawk. Positive Space Training is designed for all those interested in making a commitment to increasing the visibility of the LBGTQ communities of Hamilton and area. The training offers tools for individuals to become involved in creating a more respectful, supportive and inclusive environment.
