A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :

UM6P students’ community was offered various sustainability orientation to help them get to know the sustainable development aspects and opportunities on campus.

1. Green Map (Launched on 2020 – Still Ongoing)

The UM6P Community is offered a GREEN MAP to get a glimpse of the sustainable aspects on campus, Green Energy Park, UM6P Experimental Farm, etc. This interactive map highlights all the sustainable development aspects such as:

**The Eco-Mobility aspect: Picalty stations - The University shuttle stations – The charging stations for electric vehicles;

**The solar installation;

**The LEED Certified buildings;

**The COP22 zones;

**The smart houses built by students in the Solar Decathlon Competition;

2. Sustainable Development best practices guide (Launched on 2020 – Still Ongoing)

Guide to SD best practices is publicly share on the official website to remind everyone of the right attitude to have and the best practices to adopt in order to strengthen the involvement of UM6P community in sustainable development.

3. SD Ambassadors Green Tours (Launched on 2020 – Still Ongoing)

The sustainable development ambassadors organize green or sustainable tours for the new students at the beginning of the academic year to highlight all the sustainability aspects of the University to them.

4. Sustainability info-session (Organized 2021)

The “Sustainability info session” gathered UM6P Students community online in order to highlight the sustainability component of their actions and share with everyone their latest opportunities. many opportunities and engage them in the extracurricular and/or entrepreneurial activities at UM6P.

This info-session helps them defining their role as an active leader in promoting and advancing sustainability on campus as well as allowing them to learn more about some specific programs, narrowing the gap of communication and offering them a platform to ask your questions

5. Journées portes ouvertes (JPO)

During UM6P Virtual JPOs, there was a stand for the sustainable development department of UM6P to showcase all new UM6P students and potential new applying students the sustainability aspects and opportunities which will be provided for them once enrolled at the University.

6. On-boarding week – GATE T UM6P (Organized 2021)

During the On-boarding week of all UM6P students for 2021, the SD Department highlighted the students’ involvement in many of their projects and the role of engaged youth in building together a sustainable campus. The presentation illustrated all the canvas and the pictures taken during students and SD ambassadors’ activities and projects. In addition to that, an SD stand was animated by the SD Ambassadors of 2021 to engage the new students in applying for the next edition and checking all the guides digitally on the official SD website. It was an opportunity for students to get to know the ambassadors representing their schools, and to state their interest to be part of the ongoing projects.
