A brief description of the student sustainability research program:

The Call for Projects on Valorization of Research Findings/Innovation (APVAR 2021), intended for UM6P researchers. The valorization of the results of research/innovation and knowledge consists in the conversion of research findings, formalized or not in the form of patents or other intellectual property rights, into innovation.

It is from this perspective that this call for projects (APVAR 2021) is part of, with the main objectives as follows:

* To encourage applied research and innovation and to introduce researchers to entrepreneurship;
* To contribute to the development of a Moroccan and African economy founded on innovation and knowledge;
* To support the development and the technological maturation with, in sight, the commercialization of processes, products and services based on the findings and/or know-how resulting from research;
* To spread the culture of valorization of research findings within UM6P;
*To boost the linkage between UM6P and its socio-political-economic ecosystem;


Does the institution have a program to encourage academic staff from multiple disciplines or academic programs to conduct sustainability research?:
Yes

A brief description of the faculty sustainability research program:

the launch of a call for multi-thematic applied research projects (APRA), intended for UM6P researchers. This call for projects is aimed at funding applied research projects in the priority areas of sustainability research of UM6P and its ecosystem. The main objectives are:
* To encourage applied research, technology development and innovation;
* To encourage intra-UM6P multi-disciplinary collaboration;
* To allow the emergence of project ideas in a variety of fields;
* To create a new research dynamic at UM6P by broadening its scope of investigation;
* To strengthen the convergence between UM6P and the business world as well as socio-economic operators and to enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan companies.

Second call :

This special issue, open to a multidisciplinary community of researchers, aims to tackle the pressing challenges associated with climate-resilient urbanization in developing countries through new and innovative technologies. It introduces, for the first time, a didactic exploration of the pivotal role played by technological resources, including satellite imagery, digital twins, and smart city tools, as promising strategies for fostering inclusive and forward-thinking urban management.

The social innovation lab has proposed a procedure of positive recognition to the selected projects that will be evaluated by a committee composed of experts and members according to the following criteria :
- The relevance of the project.
- The scientific quality of the projects
- The Clarity of the implementation plan and feasibility of the project
- The economic, social and scientific impact of the projects
- The Previous scientific production
- Multidisciplinary team

The projects will be ranked according to the merit criteria and the Committee will select the projects to be funded and those that will not.


Does the institution have ongoing library support for sustainability research and learning?:
Yes

A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research:

The learning center supports the learning process of students and researchers at all the university levels and disciplines. In order to streamline the use of library services and make the user autonomous regarding the search for resources, the Learning Center offers “smart services” comprising an online catalog and a terminal Lend/return to make finding books accessible and easier for everyone. In addition, the library launched many training sessions on the available database research methods of the university in collaboration with Doctoral School CeDoc. Also, many campaigns and writing workshops has been organized in collaboration with students’ clubs, Mahir Center and sustainable development department to promote learning activities in campus.

The learning center make the platform Emerald Insight accessible to the UM6P community. This platform shares collections of scientific journals, ebooks and case studies. This database consists of :
