An outside consultant was retained to administer a campus climate survey to all members of S&T as well as the other campuses which are part of the University of Missouri System in the fall of 2016.

The general climate survey that was administered in the Fall of 2016 is still undergoing analysis; therefore a final percentage of participation is unknown.

However, in addition to the Campus Climate Survey, a separate Diversity and Inclusion survey (of representative size) was also conducted in the fall of 2016 which resulted in a number of recommendations. Of the representative sample, participation was as follows (according to the report): 100% by focus group invitees, 81% of staff/administrative unit surveyed,and 64% of academic units surveyed.
