Missouri S&T has taken advantage of having a student Design team to participate in the Department of Energy Solar House Competition every two years to bring back the houses and use them for student housing to demonstrate sustainable living, but also to use the facilities as a research ground for faculty and students working on Smart Living research. Smart Living is a new Best Practice are for our institution.
