Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-in waste?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
Recycling containers are made available during move-in to capture extra recyclable waste. The majority of the extra recycling during move-in is cardboard. The Residential Life Department encourages all new students to recycle in the residence halls during move-in and move-out. Signs and staff direct students where to take recyclables during move in, and all new students are provided guidance on the proper recycling procedures for the campus. The Residential Life Department arranges for multiple recycling pick-ups during move-in because the recycling volume is so high.
