University desktops, laptops/notebooks and monitors are purchased through the Desktop Enhancement Program which is administered by the Information Technology Department. The objective of the Desktop Enhancement program is to provide each full-time faculty and staff member with a new computer every three years, which is the average life-cycle of a typical desktop computer. The IT department publishes the established IT Standards for all computer systems on their website. All IT Standard Systems are EPEAT Gold rated. Therefore, 100% of expenditures on computers purchased through the Desktop Enhancement Program were for EPEAT Gold certified products.
