Although MSU does not require LEED certification for all new projects, MSU does require in the project specifications that the architect and contractor comply with the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) which incorporates the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). In addition, MSU utilizes documented Sustainability Guidelines for construction projects.
