A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Our new student orientation for first-year students (SOAR) is a two-day, on-campus experience for students and their parents. As part of SOAR, sustainability is included in a pre-session slide show, featured in the SOAR handbook given to every incoming freshman, and through tabling during the Campus Expo.
Transfer students are exposed to our sustainability efforts via the Transfer Student Resource Fair on campus.
Graduate students are presented information about the sustainability program by the Sustainability Coordinator during their on-campus orientation.
