1st program
Student Sustainability and Recycling Coordinator Program
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Student Recycling Coordinators assist with outreach and recycling in the residence halls. Coordinators have four main duties:
(1) provide education and raise awareness regarding sustainability and recycling for their assigned residence halls,
(2) perform recycling services for the Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services facilities following established procedures and guidelines,
(3) work with floor volunteers to handle the recycling processes of their assigned residence hall,
(4) serve on and/or support the Live Life Green Residence Life Sustainability Committee.

Sustainability Reps
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Sustainability Reps function under the Green Student Alliance, Student Government Association, Live Life Green programs, or just general students. This group of students are trained by the Sustainability Coordinator and work to promote and sustainability on campus and develop events and educational projects for other students. Projects may include tabling events to contact students personally, social media efforts, networking events, campus or community activities.

Sustainability Reps mainly focus on student engagement, but also work with faculty, staff and the general community.

Additional programs
Students are employed by the university to collect recycling from academic buildings on campus. These students interact with other students, as well as, faculty and staff, during their work. Besides just collecting materials, they help educate students, faculty and staff on proper recycling procedures. This is an important process to make sure that we try to address issues of improper collection as soon as possible when they are identified.
