Documentation

A copy of the institution’s inventory of its sustainability course offerings and descriptions:
Do the figures reported above cover one, two, or three academic years?:
Three

A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
MSU utilized the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) to complete the course inventory. MSU has joined the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and is actively using the SDG's on campus and in communities to improve sustainable development. The Academics subcommittee believe that we should identify courses based on the SDG's. Therefore, the Academics Subcommittee and Sustainability Coordinator performed a keyword search of all course descriptions using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) keywords developed by the Australia/Pacific SDSN. A copy of the list is attached. An initial review by the Sustainability Coordinator was performed to verify relevance to each SDG and completed an initial determination on whether or not the course met the definition of Sustainability-Focused or Sustainability-Inclusive. A faculty member from each college is represented on the Academics Subcommittee. These faculty members then reviewed the list to verify which courses were Sustainability-Focused and Sustainability-Inclusive and verify which SDG applied to the course. The number representing each of the 17 SDG's was assigned to each course.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
