A brief description of the institution’s NSSE Sustainability Education Consortium survey results:
Compared to all consortium participants, results indicated that our students’ average was significantly higher (p < .05) with an effect size less than .3 in magnitude on 11 measures. These included coursework evaluating the moral dimensions of social or environmental problems, completing an assignment that evaluates our responsibilities to future generations, and participating in a campus or community sustainability project.
Compared to all consortium participants, results indicated that our students’ average was significantly lower (p < .05) with an effect size less than .3 in magnitude on 5 measures. This included the extent to which our institution emphasizes sustainability learning.
