Sustainability Commission; Residence Life Green Games, Sustainability Fund

A brief description of the campaign(s):

The Sustainability Commission is overseen by Student Government Association and allocates the money of the Sustainability Fund for on-campus sustainability-related projects. Residence Life Green Games is a campaign to promote sustainability to students living on-campus. All of these are student-led initiatives and organizations.


A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):

Positive impacts of these campaigns include an increased awareness of sustainability and its importance. A campus garden, rain gardens, and a bike rental program are examples of on-going projects funded by the Sustainability Fund and accepted through the Sustainability Commission. Residence Life Green Games also will promote sustainable living practices through competitions for waste/water/electricity reduction, education, attendance at the solar-powered concert hosted by the sustainable club on campus, and more.
