A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Flypaper Creative Services is a student-run ad agency centered at Minnesota State University Moorhead. The agency interacts with actual clients and produces materials like posters, brochures, various advertisements and/or marketing plans. In the fall semester of 2013, Flypaper worked with the Office of Campus Sustainability (OCS), to develop and manage a comprehensive approach aimed at energy conservation on campus. This approach engaged the campus through print media, a superhero design and naming contest, catchy slogans, guerilla marketing, and the deployment of hundreds of light switch covers placed throughout the campus.
This innovative approach is not covered in any other aspect of our STARS report, and has not been claimed by a previous innovation or other credit.
