A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
The numbers reported here are the most recent currently available, FY19. Students requesting a parking permit for the year are required to complete a transportation survey that includes questions regarding primary modes of transportation. We are able to identify every student that might commute to Mills via a single occupancy vehicle. 280 commuting students responded that their primary mode of transportation is driving alone or taking rideshare. There are 1229 students total.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
The numbers reported here are the most recent currently available, FY19. Employees requesting a parking permit for the year are required to complete a transportation survey that includes questions regarding primary modes of transportation. We are able to identify every employee that might commute to Mills via a single occupancy vehicle. 237 commuting employees responded that their primary mode of transportation is driving alone or taking rideshare. There are 336 employees total.
