Lisser Hall Renovation, Mills College
The historic preservation of Lisser Hall kept an existing building intact (as compared to new construction), with all its features and components, minimizing the necessity for new construction materials and reducing the embodied carbon (carbon released by all the manufacturing and transportation of new building materials) of the project. This project included mechanical system upgrades and new equipment provided in accordance with the 2016 California Building Code and native plant restoration of the adjacent section of Leona Creek.
