Mills College Eco-Representative Program
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
The Mills College Eco-Representatives Program provides work-study and non-work-study students from different disciplines the chance to gain real-world and practical experience and leadership skills in advancing social and environmental justice through supporting a culture of sustainability within the campus community. Through supporting Mills Sustainability programs and outreach campaigns, Eco-Representatives, or "Eco-Reps", work with multiple campus entities in raising awareness about environmental issues, inspiring environmentally responsible behavior in their peers, supporting existing programs and projects, such as the Reuse Depot and Leona Creek's Care Days, and planning related events and activities, which includes the development of educational presentations and traditional and digital outreach materials.

While Mills Sustainability's Eco-Representative Program main aims to outreach and engage the student body and the participants' peers, its influence and inspiring student leadership extends to the faculty, staff and rest of the campus community.
