Improving controls, leaks, insulation, and overall heating mechanisms in buildings.
Addressing the campus fleet efficiency through purchasing more efficient vehicles as replacements are needed. Investigating the effectiveness of increasing parking permit costs.
Investigate and implement on-campus energy generation.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

Replacement and upgrade of boilers across campus. Comprehensive indoor and outdoor lighting retrofits. Expansion of metering and controls for some buildings. Institute a no idling policy for the campus fleet. Continue to track commuting patterns and analyze opportunities for increased efficiency of alternative transportation.
Behavioral programs such as energy reduction competitions.
