A brief description of the program or practice:
Mills College has a native plant palette for landscaping, requiring purchases from local native plant nurseries. In 2009, a landscape architect created a low-water design for the new Graduate School of Business, including a meadow consisting of a mixture of native grasses. Throughout 2012, existing landscapes have been replaced with native, drought tolerant plants.
