Which of the following best describes the institution’s approach to rainwater management?:
No written policies, plans or guidelines, but green infrastructure and LID practices are used

A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
The Great Lakes Research Center on Michigan Tech's campus has created a rooftop garden to collect rainwater (info on GLRC website: https://www.mtu.edu/greatlakes/about/profile/). Students in the Green Campus Enterprise are collaborating with facilities management to do an initial assessment of rainwater drainage during spring melt and after summer storms - this will help inform a formal plan for rainwater management on grounds. There are additional conversations and ideas for continuing rooftop gardens to collect rainwater on other campus buildings, and there is one in the budget for this year on the sustainability demonstration house.
