A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
The inventory was collected by reading through descriptions of each course (undergraduate and graduate). Course descriptions included phrases or topics of sustainability, sustainable development, social/economic/environmental impacts of systems, etc. In addition, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and keyword phrases suggested in the University of Toronto's report available at https://data.utoronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/SUSTAINABLE-DEVELOPMENT-conceptual-report.pdf was used as a guide in determining sustainability offerings.
The original data was compared to the 2022-2023 Course Catalog. New courses were added to the inventory and courses that are no longer offered were deleted from the inventory.
