A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):

We conducted a survey of faculty members. Respondents who conduct sustainability research were asked to include a description of their research. The response rate was low, so an additional project was undertaken using Sustainable Development Goals. This list was compiled through faculty and staff listings and their associated research areas in their department listing. We cross checked their research with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals topics and keyword search. This was similar to the method used by the University of Toronto. Some faculty or staff researchers touch multiple SDG's. At least one area was listed with its associated SDG in the summary attached. Adjunct researchers were included but care was taken to not duplicate faculty/researcher in another department. For the most part, they were listed in their home department.
