Eligible faculty and staff are covered under one of eleven different collective bargaining units. However, under Michigan's Right to Work law that was effective March 2013, employees are no longer required to belong to a union. While the details of compensation are subject to the specific union contracts - all positions are provided the opportunity to enroll in the following benefits below. In addition, regardless of an employee's status as a union or non-union member for their job classification, they still receive the same level of benefits and compensation.
