A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
The Spartans Sociomobility Centennial Survey was conducted in spring 2019 to understand the travel behaviors of Spartans and their perceptions of autonomous vehicles. The survey was distributed to the entire campus community, requesting responses from students, faculty and staff who commute to and reside on MSU's East Lansing campus. Respondents were informed that the survey was confidential and anonymous. 3,373 individuals responded to the survey.
