A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:
The CSSPF supports selected student-driven, staff-supported sustainability projects such as pollinator gardens, green walls and roofs, tree plantings, renewable energy demonstrations, sustainable art projects, and more. The fund was established in 2014 and continues to be funded through alumni, staff and partner donations.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
Applications are submitted annually. Applications are reviewed by the CSSPF Oversight Committee for approval. The Advisory Committee is comprised of the IPF (Infrastructure Planning and Facilities) Chief of Staff; the SLE (Student Life and Engagement, formerly RHS) Sustainability Officer; the SLE Assistant Director for Registered Student Organizations and Late-Night Programming; two Academic Representatives: Chairperson of the Department of Community Sustainability and Director of the Center for Community and Economic Development; EVPA (Executive Vice President for Administration) DEI Administrator; EVPA Business Operations Manager. The project funds are then administered through the Office of Sustainability. Criteria for funds include: budget; scope of work; timeline; team; DEI impacts; alignment with sustainability principles and sustainable development goals.
