A brief description of the program:

Every effort should be made to purchase domestically produced goods and services from domestically based sources. As policy, it is particularly important when expending funds appropriated by the State of Michigan under Public Act 352 of 2006 Section 209: Funds appropriated shall not be used for the purchase of foreign goods or services, or both, if competitively priced and of comparable quality American goods and services, or both, are available. Preference should be given to goods or services, or both, manufactured or provided by Michigan businesses if they are competitively priced and of comparable value.
