A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
MSU uses an organic liquid called GEOMELT, a sugar beet byproduct used in snow and ice removal. GEOMELT, combined with salt brine, can treat snow and ice conditions in temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit. Another benefit of using this product is that it acts longer on sidewalks and roadways and will increase equipment life because it is anti-corrosive.
