A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
The MGH Institute of Health Professions (MGH IHP) offers a silver subsidy level Bluebikes membership at a rate of $45 (regularly $119). Bluebikes is Metro Boston's public bike share program. On the campus, there are 3 docking stations in which all students and employees have access to. Bluebikes memberships are heavily promoted throughout campus on TV screens, on the school's website, at new student and employee orientations, and at tabling events. There is also an app available to find stations and see real-time bike & dock-availability.

MGH IHP has partnered with Zipcar to provide discounts to both students and employees. Zipcar is a car-sharing service with hourly and daily rental options. Those interested in signing up can visit the Zipcar website to receive up to $45 on an annual membership. There is also one Zipcar conveniently located on campus for use by both students and employees. This is promoted during student and employee orientations, on campus TVs, and on the school's website.

Thirty-two new electric vehicle charging stations are available for use on floors 2 through 5 of the Charlestown Navy Yard Building 199 garage. There is a public fee of 30 cents per kWh, but employees and students can enroll in a program to receive a reduced fee of 18 center per kWh to use the charging stations. Members of the IHP community can enroll in this program by emailing their name, employee ID number, phone number and IHP email address to MGH Parking and Commuter Services.

Thirty-two new electric vehicle charging stations are available for use on floors 2 through 5 of the Charlestown Navy Yard Building 199 garage. This garage is operated by MGH Commuter Services, a partner of the MGH IHP. Students and employees have access to this garage and as such the charging stations.

MGH IHP offers a variety of programs and initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation including discounted MBTA passes for students and employees, discounted Bluebikes memberships for both students and employees, and discounted Zipcar memberships for students and employees. Mass General Brigham (the larger system MGH IHP is part of) also offers a free shuttle from the local North Station train stop to help connect students and employees to campus. Walking routes are also provided for walking approximately 10-15 minutes from North Station.
There are also two bikes cages, bike racks, three bike repair stations, and showers/ lockers for those riding their bike to campus.
