The sustainability office is within Campus Planning & Sustainability. The sustainability office works cohesively with the campus planning to ensure long-term campus planning is as sustainable as possible.

Other successful initiatives include the number of continuing education sustainability classes, new electric vehicle chargers, and expanding our student bus pass program to include emergency rides home.

Provides leadership and input to all College administrative and academic departments in the areas of sustainable practices, environmental impacts, and wise energy use. Works with all areas and departments to identify best practices in sustainability and leads the implementation of these practices. Provides outreach to the community and College stakeholders on topics of sustainable practices.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
In coordination with all areas of operation of the College and under the direction of the Director of Campus Planning and Sustainability, the Coordinator of Sustainable Practices:
1. Identifies opportunities for the College to develop sustainable practices.
2. Leads implementation of sustainable practices throughout the organization.
3. Provides outreach opportunities to the community regarding topics related to sustainability practices.
4. Serves as a professional and technical resource to the College and community in field of sustainability.
5. Collects and stores information and data related to College sustainability efforts.
6. Consults and advises on sustainability initiatives and topics into academic curricula.
7. Maintains compliance with Federal, State and local environmental regulations.
8. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
