MCC uses both Facebook and Twitter to reach out to our students and the community via social media regarding sustainability. Green Building Signage

Within our LEED certified buildings we have signage indicating that the buildings are LEED certified as well as some of the more innovative features of the building. The signs were designed by our students in the Design, Interactivity and Media Arts Fall 2016 class. Additionally, as of spring 2018, our Educational Energy Dashboard and digital signage includes green building feature highlights.

A brief description of the guide for commuters about how to use more sustainable methods of transportation:
This highlights personal stories from staff and faculty that are using alternative methods of transportation as well as some helpful hints. Our Pass to Class document that is handed to students upon receiving their bus pass includes helpful hints on riding the bus such as how to plan your trip, how to hail a bus, how to use the fare box, how to alert the driver of the need to stop, etc.

A brief description of the navigation and educational tools for bicyclists and pedestrians:
MCC has created a map of all the locations with bicycle parking highlighted to make the trip as easy as possible for users. Additionally, the sustainability website has a direct link to continuing education bicycle maintenance and safety classes. We have also implemented pedestrian wayfinding on the Fort Omaha Campus to encourage inter-campus traveling by foot rather than automobile.
