A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

In 2012, MCC conducted the Personal Assessment of the College Environment (PACE) survey in conjunction with the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness.

Diversity and Equity were small portions of the 2012 assessment but the Office of Equity and Diversity is developing a more robust and encompassing survey for the 2016 edition.

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

Our Institutional Research department has the most recent and accurate data regarding Student Diversity and Educational Equity. The last time this was assessed was in 2012 and was presented during a planned visit from the Office of Civil Rights in December 2013. It is expected that in 2016, the data will be reanalyzed and reviewed and will take into account changes from the 2012 data.

Such items reviewed include Student Ethnicity by Subject, Student Grade Distribution by Ethnicity, Retention Rates by Ethnicity and Four-County Ethnicity Breakdown.

Metropolitan Community College's mission statement reads: "Metropolitan Community College delivers relevant, student-centered education to a diverse community of learners."
MCC feels very strongly about being accessible and inclusive of the entire community within our four-county region and has shaped our mission statement as a response to community needs to ensure that all individuals feel welcome at MCC.
