A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
MCC Facilities converted its first standard petroleum-fueled vehicle into a clean-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle in 2011, since then nine additional CNG vehicles have been introduced/converted to the fleet. MCC introduced two completely electric vehicles (Nissan Leafs) in 2015 and installed Level 2 chargers on different campuses for the electric vehicles. MCC is currently working on a plan to place additional chargers on campus for public use.
