A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
MCC gathered the relevant data we had on hand and turned it over to a third-party, Verdis Group, for analysis. The analysis performed by Verdis consisted of their internal process and the use of Campus Carbon Calculator.

None
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the internal and/or external verification process:
MCC's GHG emissions inventory was conducted by a local outside entity, Verdis Group. MCC provided Verdis Group the data and they performed the analysis. The report was then reviewed internally.

A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives, including efforts made during the previous three years:
MCC is committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. To date, MCC has invested in electric vehicles and the associated infrastructure, we have promoted alternative means of transportation for staff and students to get to campuses. MCC has provided over 1.2 million free bus rides for our students to limit single-occupancy vehicles. MCC has converted vehicles in our fleet to CNG vehicles. MCC adopted a LEED standard in 2012 for all new construction, this has lead to 5 buildings on our campuses being LEED certified. We are continuously looking to improve our current GHG emissions reduction practices while exploring new opportunities.
