The Office of Sustainability
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
The Office of Sustainability has up to 7 work-study students focused on the following categories, waste, engagement, biodiversity, communication, energy, food, and organics collection. These students run programs are a cohort of students who volunteer and develop programs to promote sustainability educational efforts, bike-share programs, outreach, and others.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
Messiah University's Sustainability Work Study students are tasked with educating the campus community including faculty, staff and students. Each student has a focus area whereby they host educational programming opportunities.
Students follow the University's hiring process by submitting an application, resume, and cover letter. Once reviewed, the student is asked to participate in an interview with the Director of Sustainability and the Program Coordinator. The student holds the position for one academic year.

Earthkeepers is a club on Messiah's campus that promotes sustainable practices on-campus and abroad. This club aims to protect and improve the environment not only for our benefit but to honor God and the creation.
