A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The 503 responses to the campus survey include a self-selecting sample of employees that chose to participate in a Campus Climate Survey in the Spring semester of 2017. Their were representative samples from faculty and staff. This survey measured incidents of discrimination, harassment, institutional perceptions on safety and good will, as well as satisfaction and security.
In addition, we also distribute a survey to all employees on or about their one year employment anniversary that addresses issues of engagement, belonging, satisfaction, etc.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
Results from the Campus Climate Survey have not yet resulted in any mechanisms or programming to address the gaps identified in the evaluation.
Human Resources and Compliance houses, applies, and distributes one-year employment survey information as needed. Specifically, this information has impacted
our review and modification of the employee orientation process and resources.
