A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
In addition to following municipal codes for stormwater management, the University has been experimenting with alternative paving technologies. McGill's Green Buiding Standards are currently being revised in compliance with LEED and LID standards, and will be complete by fall of 2016. These standards include provisions to ensure sustainability of new projects.

McGill's Green Buiding Standards include provisions for rain/stormwater reuse and reduced need for treatment of water runoff from new construction and major renovations of existing buildings, amongst many other provisions for sustainable development of the McGill campus.
