The Social Equity and Diversity Education (SEDE) Office is committed to fostering a fair and inclusive environment that respects the dignity of each member of the McGill Community. By actively educating, heightening awareness of, and providing opportunities for dialogue about equity and diversity-related issues, SEDE strives to strengthen the Community in our shared responsibility toward a truly equitable society.

* SEDE's LGBTQ and Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Advisors offer a range of training workshops and consultative services to McGill faculty, staff and students
* In collaboration with McGill's Chaplaincy Services, SEDE organizes an inter-faith visit series which aims to promote understanding and constructive dialogue on themes of a religious or spiritual nature
* SEDE publishes a number of educational materials for campus-wide audiences including an annual community outreach calendar, fact sheets (on racism, homophobia, hazing, etc.) and an electronic bulletin highlighting equity-related events, resources and programming
* SEDE is involved in a number of strategy committees and collaborative initiatives, including the Medicine Admissions Pipeline, the Subcommittee on Queer People, Advisory Committee on International Students and the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education (CAPDHHE)
