Does the institution use weather data or weather sensors to automatically adjust irrigation practices?:
Yes
None
A brief description of how weather data or sensors are used:
While McGill possesses an irrigation system on campus equipped with moisture sensors, the system is not used at all since the area where the plants are located already receives sufficient water from rainfall. On the occasion that manual watering is necessary during times of drought for plantings that are more demanding on water (new plantings and annual plantings), staff do check available weather data in order to determine whether watering would ultimately be needed or not.
