A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Prior to the pandemic, all new employees attended an in person workshop where they were informed about options for making parking and commuting decisions via the Access MIT program, which was designed to encourage sustainable commuting through free monthly MBTA passes embedded in all employee ID cards. They are also encouraged to explore the Atlas Learning Center where they would find the online course: "Responsible Waste Disposal Practices", which educates them on the proper way to dispose of waste on campus and includes a game at the end to sort various common items.
