The Maryville College faculty handbook states as a goal that faculty salaries will match the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) II-B category of higher education institutions.
Maryville College Human Resources reviews salary data using CUPA-HR information to compare standard of living and fair compensation. MC has living wage policy, but MC practice insures many hourly employees have higher base wage than other comparable higher ed schools in local area. The Diversity Task Force reviewed employee compensation issues between 2007 and 2009. It is assumed, but not documented in the final report that fair wages were discussed.
