A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The university conducted an Employee Engagement Survey from April 15 through May 10, 2019. It received 1,349 total responses (a 45 percent response rate). This is an 11 percent increase from the last survey completed in 2017.
Employee engagement survey using Likert scale and open ended questions in the following five categories: 1) Strategy/Culture/Communication/Accountability, 2) Change Management and Collaboration, 3) Supervisor/Boss Relationship/Work Environment, 4) Overall Satisfaction with Supervisor/Boss, 5) Overall Satisfaction with organization

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
Department-specific reports were provided to all units, outlining the results, top 5 strengths and top 5 areas for improvements with recommendations included. Action plans were requested and received and a pulse survey will be conducted in Fall 2021 to assess results and progress.
