The Commonwealth of Kentucky Revised Statute 45A.520 mandates that office paper purchases contain a minimum recycle content that at a minimum complies with the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976. As such, KCTCS has a system wide stated preference to purchase recycled-content office paper.


A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed :

KCTCS has created a system wide policy that all community colleges in the system complies with the policy. Paper products are ordered in bulk from Cardinal Office products and are recycle content paper only.
