A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years:
The Centre for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFE) offers an annual workshop for faculty members that is focused on to faculty members on integrating sustainability principles into curricula. Instructors can integrate key sustainability concepts into curricula without radically changing course requirements or abandoning disciplinary expertise. These hands-on workshops introduce a conceptual framework and concrete process for reframing curricula to integrate sustainability into a specific course. Designed for instructors in any discipline, these workshops use a set of foundational concepts as the basis of integration across curricula. Working with an existing or planned course outline, each participant learns specific instructional design strategies to reframe the content, pedagogy and sequence of his or her course to include sustainability concepts. The sessions provide opportunities to share insights with peers within and across disciplines. Depending on the scale of course redesign, participants walk away with a clear outline or plan for a course makeover.
