Yes

A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Macalester College's Student Services and Relations Committee hosts a food bank known as "Open Pantry". Open Pantry first opened for the 2017-2018 academic year. It is for all Macalester students to have access to a supplemental source of food and essentials through the academic year and during summers. It mostly stocked with pantry items, shelf-stable goods, and some personal care items. Students have the option of placing an online order for pick-up, or shopping in person at the pantry. It is also located near a kitchen for students to use. An inventory is kept so those who utilize this resource can anonymously write down what they shop for and helps to best collect data for what is in demand.

In addition, Macalester installed a Little Free Pantry during the summer of 2020. This outdoor pantry is in the form of a small, outdoor, weatherproof box. It is similar to the appearance of a little free library. Local community members are encouraged to take what they need, and leave what they can. It is open 24 hours a day and is maintained stocked by the campus and surrounding community. It is located near a bus stop that has frequent community traffic
