A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
The College banned the sale of single-use plastic water bottles in 2011. Macalester's food service provider, Bon Appetit only uses compostable to-go packaging and straws. Composting bins are located in every residential and nonresidential buildings.
